Santosha

We tend to look elsewhere for happiness, grasping at things that are out of reach in the hope of fulfilment.

But we are capable of feeling happy within ourselves – enjoying what we do and recognising the value of each
and every moment whilst learning to be content with who we are.

Santosha is a Sanskrit word derived from Sam (सं, सम्) meaning “completely” and Tosha (तोष, तुष्, tush) meaning “contentment”.

This exhibition is an exploration of my journey towards that place: a walk through my abstract mind, an exploration of the beauty of the body and a drive through the landscape that helped shape my soul.

This is the beginning of my journey – my first stop – the station of contentment. Santosha.
